Bar Associations Announce 23rd Annual Bankruptcy Conference

The Capital Region and Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Associations will host their 23rd annual Bankruptcy Bar and Bench Conference, November 9 to 10, 2018, at the historic Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.

The annual gathering brings together judges, academics and practitioners, well known in their fields, who will present a program of timely topics. In addition to the bankruptcy judges from the Northern District of New York, this year’s speakers will include Chief United States District Court Judge Glenn T. Suddaby and FCBA President-elect Joann Sternheimer.

Chief Judge Suddaby will participate in the panel discussion “Diversity and Elimination of Bias: A View from the Bench.” Joann Sternheimer will present “Litigation Preparation in Consumer Cases.” Conference attendees will earn a total of 10 CLE credits. Other session topics include “Negotiation Ethics, Tales of Woe from the World of Closely Held Corporations in Bankruptcy”; “Ask the Judge”; and a U.S. Supreme Court Law Update.
