Albany CLE Program: “Criminal Practice – May 2014 Update”

The FCBA Criminal Practice Committee will host a CLE program for criminal law practitioners on the afternoon of Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the James T. Foley U.S. Courthouse, 445 Broadway, Albany, New York. The program will feature presentations regarding: case resolutions, in light of the Department of Justice policy regarding certain mandatory minimum sentences; and sentencing issues, including restitution and forfeiture. Presenters will include attorneys from the United States Attorney’s Office and the Federal Public Defender’s Office including: Criminal Chief Steven D. Clymer, Deputy Civil Chief William Larkin and First Assistant Public Defender Paul J. Evangelista. United States Magistrate Judge Andrew T. Baxter will moderate a judge’s panel discussion to which all of the United States District Court Judges and United States Magistrate Judges in Albany will be invited. Attendance at this program will apply toward the training requirement for CJA attorneys.

This program is open to any NDNY FCBA member attorneys.
